Additional Surface Mesh properties
Examples for the 3D Surface Mesh Chart can be found in the SciChart WPF Examples Suite which can be downloaded from the SciChart Website or our SciChart.WPF.Examples Github Repository.
Additional properties which affect the rendering of a SurfaceMeshRenderableSeries3D include:
- SurfaceMeshRenderableSeries3D.CellHardnessFactor: changes the lighting algorithm to make cells appear harder or more 'glass-like'
- SurfaceMeshRenderableSeries3D.Highlight: Changes the lighting algorithm to make cells appear lighter
- SurfaceMeshRenderableSeries3D.MeshPaletteMode: Changes how the heightmap is applied. HeightMapInterpolated allows for smooth colors, while HeightMapSolidCells means each cell has one continuous color.
- SurfaceMeshRenderableSeries3D.HeightScaleFactor: Applies a constant scaling factor to the heights, e.g. setting to 0 will make the surface mesh flat
- SurfaceMeshRenderableSeries3D.YOffset: Applies a constant offset heights, e.g. setting to 1 will move the SurfaceMesh 1-Datavalue in the Y-direction.
The effect of these properties are demonstrated in the images below.
